Topic: how to use GSM with arduino? (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

Hi,
I'm newby and I'd like to connect arduino with a GSM device.
I bought GSM SIEMENS TC35 SMS Module Board RS232 UART Serial Arduino + Voice adapter
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GSM-SIEMENS-TC35-SMS-Module-Board-RS232-UART-Serial-Arduino-Voice-adapter-/270851051007?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f0ffb0dff#ht_3985wt_954

Now... how can I connect it to arduino?
where can I find a tutorial to do that?
how can I send an sms text?

Thank you in advance,
Andrea

From the name it would probably be connected to +5 (power), Ground, RX, and TX.  If you want to use the USB cable to communicate with a PC you should try SoftwareSerial to use two data pins for serial communication with the GSM board.

To figure out how to use it you should look for a manual for the SIEMENS TC35 GSM module.
