Topic: WiFi 101 is ampersand a legit password character? (Read 722 times) previous topic - next topic

Can anyone tell me if there is a limitation against using ampersand in a WPA password with the 101 shield?  I got a WiFi 101 shield as a gift and it will connect to unencrypted networks but I can't get it to connect to my WPA network.  It can see the network SSID but won't connect.  The only thing I can see is that it might not like the use of ampersand in the password, even though that is a legitimate (printable ASCII) character.  Anyone have suggestions?

Hello

I personally would avoid using the ampersand in a password.
The ampersand is a metacharacter in Linux and MacOSX.

I do not do Windows so do not know about it and ampersand.

If all else fails change the password to nit use the ampersand.
