I'd like to hook up EL wire to an Arduino so that I can control its brightness using PWM. I don't have the EL wire yet but I've searched every corner of the internet just to learn that controlling/fading EL wire require components I have no idea about. I don't know where to start. Any thoughts?
I like to PWM the power supply on the DC side of the inverter. I usually use 12V inverters and I PWM that input to control brightness. Otherwise, it's very hard to PWM EL wire because of the high frequency. Triacs have a hard time with them for dimming.
