blink on mega2560: avrdude: verification error

Hi experts,

I always get the verification error, no matter which sketch I use. The function seems to be ok althought I get the verification error.

I tried the bootloader from this topic (#12) but I stll get the verification error.

AVRDUDE Checksum Fail on MEGA/UNO - Microcontrollers - Arduino Forum

Any idea how I could solve this issue?

Using arduino ide 1.6.5-r2 on win7

Sketch uses 1,518 bytes (0%) of program storage space. Maximum is 253,952 bytes.
Global variables use 9 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 8,183 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 8,192 bytes.

Have already test in another computer?
Are you sure that your Mega is using the COM6 ?

It is not very bad, most of the communication seems to be okay.
Perhaps the voltage is low. The ATmeg2560 needs more than 4.5V.
Do you power the Mega board only with a USB cable from a laptop ? or do you use a cheap usb cable ? or a hub (a hub that is not powered) ?

Try another computer or another usb cable or other usb port. Or try a power supply 7.5V to 9V to the power jack.

Is it a cheap clone with bad quality components ?

The avrdude command seems correct.

Reading | #########################avrdude: stk500v2_recv(): checksum error
######################### | 100% 0.32s

seems fishy. Why a checksum error?
