Hi everyone, I have an Atmega8 in my pcb and I used to program it through the ISP programmer. Since I don't have it anymore is there a way to program it through an Arduino? I could program an arduino as ISP then just connect the +5V and GND, MISO and MOSI, so easy?

+ Is there a way to program it even through serial port if there is no bootloader inside?

You need to connect SCK and pin 10 of the programmer to reset pin on the target also.

Not really. There is a way to turn an FTDI USB-serial chip into a programmer but I don't think that's what you're asking. If you can do the Arduino As ISP think that will be much more easy. If you're going to be doing this sort of thing with any frequency it's definitely worth buying a 6 pin USBasp programmer from eBay for <$3 USD with shipping.
