Here are some clarifications about Mini-B USB and Micro-B USB:
- Mini-B is the one we've been using for a while (since 2000). They are in most of the electronic devices.
- Vbus (+5V) is on the line (RED = Vbus, BLACK = Ground, GREEN = D+, WHITE = D-)

For micro-B USB is recent release (April 4, 2007)
- New and I've not seen it myself
- Vbus (+5V) is on the line (RED = Vbus, BLACK = Ground, GREEN = D+, WHITE = D-)

So all of the USB has +5V power coming out.
