Which sections of the forum do you spend the most time in? The playground section has a lot of great exhibition projects to check out also. There are starter kits on the internet that simplify this, but I would say you are off to a good start. I might suggest you check out some of the following- various LEDs ; LCD displays; crystals for standalone projects; shields for ethernet, SD card storage, motor control, wifi, audio, etc.
No, it's not for me. It is going to be a gift for someone. I am thinking of an automated garden, but some other projects too.
