Pulse meter schematic

Hello guys!

Can someone figure this out: Google Code Archive - Long-term storage for Google Code Project Hosting.

I am having doubts on the 0.1F below the 487k resistor on the schematic.

Is that electrolytic or a ceramic? or is it 0.1uF?
just to big value for a pulse monitor. The maker is not replying for my comments, need some help guys.
I'm really a noob in electronics. =(

Thanks in advance!

Just ask once.

ok sir Gammon and sorry.

It's rather 0.1 µF = 100 nF.

RC of R1C1 should be in the same range as R3*C2 ( giving you a gain of about 10 ).

And I bet R1 = 470k (if you have it available anyway) would work the same as the proposed 487k
