Topic: Forcing re-compile of libraries (Read 282 times) previous topic - next topic

I am modifying a library which is going fine but one thing bugs me.  If the sketch using the library compiles ok (i.e. the sketch and library are syntactically correct.) but it doesn't actually do what I intended I make changes in the library save it and then recompile the sketch but the changes in the library don't get picked up.

I either have to compile for a different board type and then recompile for the board type I'm actually using or shut down the IDE and restart it.

Is there a way I can force a recompile of the library every time I recompile the sketch?

I must be in the wrong place as I've never had to wait this long for a reply.

This is a forum, not a chat room.

If there's another way other than changing board, I don't know it. Would be really cool if there was
ATtiny core for 841+1634+828 and x313/x4/x5/x61/x7/x8 series Board Manager:
ATtiny breakouts (some assembled), mosfets and awesome prototyping board in my store http://tindie.com/stores/DrAzzy
