Topic: How to burn a bootloader with the Arduino Zero into an external SAM D21? (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

The Arduino Zero can burn the bootloader into its onboard SAM D21. For burn the bootloader into an external SAM D21 mounted on another board, the SAM D21 has to be connected to the Arduino Zero board with wires. Which are the minimal required connections?

In a similar way we can burn boot loaders into ATMega and ATtiny chips with the Arduino Uno used as ISP. Here we need 6 connections: GND, 5V, SCK, MISO, MOSI and reset.
See here for my article about this:

I have solved this and created a new article here:

If you want to programm the bootloader to a new SAMD21 chip using a zero arduino board. Be sure to make the modifications to a zero with both native and programming port. My first attempt was wit a zero with only a native port. This does not work.

Have fun!!
