Cant turn on grid in Eagle for Arduino Proto_shield.brd

I downloaded http://arduino.cc/en/uploads/Main/arduino_ProtoShield_Rev3.zip as a starting point for my first shield (my first project in fact) and while I can turn on the grid in the Schematic View, no matter what I try, the grid won't appear in the Board view and the components won't snap.

If I create a new Board, everything works fine. What am I missing?

The grid on that board is currently set at .127mm; too fine to display, or notice a "snap."
Do you still have a problem if you reset the grid to the default (1.27mm)? (It works fine for me!)
