Examples->Digitals->Button problem

For some reason, when I turn off the button it takes 2 seconds for LED to turn off at 3.3V and 4 seconds for LED to turn off at 5.0V.
Please help me understand the delay?
I use only one button like that: http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/Button
And connect the LED like that: http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/Blink

Are you sure you have the resistor wired in the circuit?

Thanks for your response.
Yup, I'm positive, there is a 330 k Ohm resistor, I even tried it without it - works the same way. :cold_sweat:

Maybe there is a capacitor in there somewhere.....

You link to two sketches but sounds like you have combined them. Maybe you should post the composite sketch and circuit?

Thanks, guys, I've figure it out.
Turns out breadboard is wired differently from what I thought. ABCDE and FGHIJ are NOT connected!
This is a very helpful image: http://www.ladyada.net/images/arduino/bbunderside.jpg

That's right, the idea is that you can insert a dip chip across the "gutter" and wire it in from both sides.

In the pic below, the two blue wires do not interfere with each other and pins opposite each other are independent.

Well done for spotting that- you were probably pulling your hair out.
