I'm planning on buying this chip: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-fona-808-cellular-plus-gps-shield-for-arduino/overview
But going through the assembly section, I noticed it needed a separate LiPo or LiIon battery to power it. Could I just feed power into the Vin of my arduino and then get 5V/3.7V from Arduino to the module?

But why are you asking here? Adafruit manufacture, sell & support this board.

I will code for you, but I will also charge you (PM me)

I was just thinking perhaps someone has already used this board, so I could get the necessary information from here much faster than through emails with Adafruit.
Anyways, thanks for your answer and I will try to find a different board then!

Edit: I think I just have to wait until they will get more of these non-shield versions of the boards: https://www.adafruit.com/product/2542
