The playback pitch is determined by this line
OCR1A = F_CPU / SAMPLE_RATE; // 16e6 / 8000 = 2000
If you cahnge the sample rate pitch will change accordingly. Remenber to turn interrupts of dureing change and turn them back on again after change.
