How long is it likely to be until support is released for the ARM processors, especially with the announced migration of ArduPilot away from ATMEL to ARM11's?
I am very keen to see an arduino bootloader & IDE for the ARMs, and in terms of development the ARMs are much more capable chips, obviously considerably more complicated too.
The closest thing I can find out there at the moment is the Xduino mentioned above, an old project that seems to have fizzled out??

The arduino DUE is coming out soon, and that has a 92MHz ARM processor on it, so the answer is not very long! There are several topics on it already, one of which can be found here: http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/topic,85177.0.html.
I saw the Raspberry Pis yesterday, and I'm wanting one too! They're selling no9 and 10 on ebay at the minute, but they were >£1000, so I'll wait for them to start being produced...
They certainly sound exciting!
I have the STM32L-DISCOVERY (link below), which is very powerful and defo what I want, but all the IDE's are stupidly difficult to use for me.
With Maple (which is the first I've hear of it and looks ideal) would that be compatible with the discovery board. The main part of that quiestion being, the onboard ST-Link programmer which is in between the USB port and the ARM? (after flashing with the maple bootloader).
