i bought hitec hs- 1000sgt Servo to use it to change the angle of attack for a wind tunnel. i am using arduino Kite and Labview and tried that on many servos any every thing was okay, but with this servo it didn't work. do you have any recommendations? can i connect the ground pin of signal cable with the ground pin on the power cable with the arduino ground pin ?

Yes. The servo power's ground must be connected to the Arduino ground.

I presume you are NOT trying to power the servo from the Arduino 5v pin. Servos should have their own power supply.

The servo type i am using should be powered with 11.11 volt . it have 2 cables one for power and the other cable for the control i already connect the power cable to external battery and connect the control cable to the arduino but it didn't work
thank you all every thing is okay now. i should connect the ground for power and control cables in the arduino ground
