Clubs or Societies in the UK

Hi All,

I would really like to find and join a club that specilises in electronics or robotics. I live in Preston, Lancashire. Perhaps get involved in some bigger projects with a team of like minded people.

I have searched Google, but can't find anything for anywhere in the UK, other than the odd university or school club which are dedicated to students.

Anyone have any ideas if this sort of club exists and if it dose, where I might find a list of them in UK.

Check Dorkbot for any groups near you.

Also check for any local Maker Spaces. I know its not actually on your doorstep but Manchester has a FabLab with open days on a Saturday.

There is the MadLabs in Manchester

It's less than an hours drive from Preston.

Might have to turn up to that some time, if I can overcome my fear of Real Life :wink:
