Topic: bare conductive touch board more pins (Read 121 times) previous topic - next topic

Hello, I`m looking for help.

Does anyone know is it possible to extend and use more pins on arduino like boards like bare conductive touch board. Now it has 12 output pins - E0-E1. I`m looking for way to use 20 output pins.

I've attached the board layout to message.

Thank you in advance for any help and suggestions.

No, it has 12 touch pins, (E0~E11) and a bunch of normal digital I/O pins.

That board is an Atmega328p (like an Arduino Uno/nano/pro mini) connected directly to a touch sensing IC, and put on a board that

You can use the usual methods to get more digital I/O pins (shift registers, port expanders, etc). You would need to add another touch sensor to get more touch sensing pins.

Also, that conductive paint is garbage (All the reasonably priced conductive paint/pens seem to be garbage); I was very disappointed with both it's durability and it's high resistance when dried.
