Piezoresistive Yarn.

Hello everyone. I'm a University student ( CSD ) and this is my first project on the arduino platform ( lilypad ).

I want to use piezoresistive yarn to make something like the "smart sock" on this site -> http://www.alpha-fit.de/en/technology.html.

The think is that I have absolutely no idea where to start. I read the Open Software book ( 2nd edition ) but it had really basic stuff in it like make a push button.

If someone could enlighten me with some tutorials on.

How can I read values from a sock like this?

What materials will I need other than the piezoresistive yarn?

And how should these materials be aligned / used?

Any help is more than welcome. Thank you for your time.

Please be patient with me since it's my first project and the whole experience is alien to me.

You should probably start by finding a supplier of the yarn - and when you do, post it here, please (I can think of numerous ideas for use with this stuff, if it is easily available)!

The supplier is going to be Eeonyx. Details on the rest of the materials and how we're going to use it to follow later. Thank you for your interest.
