Topic: nRF51822 2.4GHz Radio Supported? (Read 329 times) previous topic - next topic

While I was looking at getting some info on the tinyTile I came across that the nRF5188.2 which supposedly is on the Arduino101 also supports not only the BLE protocol stack but also a 2.4GHz protocol stacks.  Is there any plans to turn on this capability?

I posted this on the corelibs page.  The response was that the nRF51 uses Gazelle which is a propriety to Nordic so there are no plans to support in the as the Curie board.  This is understandable.

hi @Merlin513, do you have any links for your post in corelibs?

Hi @carlosperate,

Here's the Github issue link: https://github.com/01org/corelibs-arduino101/issues/485

If there's enough demand from the community for new features, this can influence the roadmap.

Sorry for not answering.  Forgot to turn on alerts.  But sandeepmistry is correct.
