Hard to find specs on the Arduino NG

Hi. I have had a real hard time tonight finding detailed info on the Arduino NG - input voltage range etc. The expected source: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Hardware led to http://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Boards which lists the NG, but does not link to more info. The Decimilia links to a lot of helpful extra info.

After much searching, I found an NG spec page: Arduino Playground - ArduinoSpecs
It is a bit sparse, but it told me what I needed to know. (But can handle up to 35V input? Really?).
I would like to add that as a 'more' link in http://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Boards but I don't have privilidges to.

It would also be nice if the spec page summarised some of the 'nuances' of the NG - the problems with using ecternal power (and the relevant fixes), and the auto-reset upgrade. I'll see what I can do about that.

Cheers,

We are condemned to repeat the answers to questions like these. It's a sort of Zen mediation practice.

So:
Arduino input./outputs operate in the 0-5V range.
You can source or sink a maximum of about 40ma through each pin, but stick to 20ma.
The voltage regulator will indeed take 25 or 30V, but at currents in excess of 100ma or so, you will be dissipating P=EI=20V * .1A= 2Watts, which will be very hot. ( All calculations are based on my popular science engineering degree.)
