SC16IS750 SPI to UART receiving gargabe

Hello,

I am using the SC16IS750 SPI to UART converter. For some reason the FTDI RX led is blinking like is receiving an output but nothing is coming out in the serial terminal. No matter what baud rate I set to the IC for transmitting I am receiving the same behavior. The strange thing is that at 115200 is where I get:

?????????????????????????????????????, etc

The y with the two dots above it is what you get when you print a -1 as a char. -1 is what you get when you read data that isn't there. So, it looks like your code is hosed.
