Is it possible to design a device to use existing software?
I don't know how these things work, but I am hoping to get a bit of insight.

I am wondering if an Arduino is the right direction to start looking for optical touch-screen solution.
thinking of two small cameras controlled by arduino feeding into the software available.

This is a forum, and the section for hacking. I know what I want to do, but I am not sure what direction it will take. I have never used an arduino and they frankly don't interest me all that much. I just wanted to know if I can use it for what I need.
