I'm trying to creat a motion simulator. Using IBT_2 (43A) as the motor driver.
Connections are showed in attached pic. It works well with a small motor.
Now I'm intended to use a 24V motor. But I got confused how the starting current and stall current affect the whole system.
The limit of IBT_2 is 43A while the starting current of the motor is 80A. If I connect the components as the structure in the pic, will I burn everything ?
I tried to dig deeper. However more deeper, more confused.
My power supply is 24V/20A/480W, is it enough to power my motor?
Can anyone explain to me please? or give me some clues. Thanks a lot.
If that diagram is accurate then the switchmode 24V PSU likely won't manage 80A, I doubt you have to worry about such high currents, but you will have to worry about the behaviour of the supply on over-current - if it shuts down then that's a problem.

Would it help if I use two motor drivers in parallel to ensure more current ?
And yes, I'm using a 24V power supply (480W). Any advice for avoiding this shut down situation or I should just replace it with a larger power supply ?
