Why, whats wrong with "original" version?
Where to find a PinMode depends on the version of your IDE, and OS.
on a PC IDE 0.22
C:\Program Files (x86)\arduino-0022\hardware\arduino\cores\arduino\wiring_digital.c
IDE 1.0 almost similar path.
