Arduino duemilanove se resetea

Pues estoy probando codigo para un lcd 16x2 para implementarlo en otro proyecto mayor. He hecho unas pruebas con el codigo de ejemplo de liquid crystal:

El caso es que cada pocos segundos el arduino se resetea. He probado a imprimir algunas cosas y resultas que si entro al monitor serie para ver laslineas que va imprimiendo no se resetea. Pero en el momento en que salgo del monitor serie, vuelve a reiniciar cada pocos segundos...

He probado con otro duemilanove que tengo y le pasa lo mismo...

Podeis decirme a que se debe?

Hola,
cada vez que abres el monitor serie, el Arduino que esté conectado se resetea. ¿No será eso lo que ocurre?

Prueba a inicializar el puerto serie a 9600...
No se porque, pero a mi algún sketch me ha dado guerra aun sin utilizarlo, pero al inicializarlo a funcionado bien...

Se que no es lógico... pero podría ser

Se resetea si no esta el monitor serie abierto... estando alimentado por usb.

Si lo alimento de forma externa parece que no se reinicia.

LO de iniciar el serie ya lo he hecho y se reinicia igual...
