Hello everybody,

I am trying to bootload Atmega2560V, I am having a hard chance trying to bootload these chips :(, THese chips are set to incorrect fuses - I am running  threads at AVRFreaks and GitHub.

I am pushing 1Mhz to XTAL1 of Atmega2560V and tried burning bootloaders, I am getting an unexpected error

Strange right.? I know there's no "0x1e9803" such device signature exists.

Error while burning bootloader.

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.
What could be the issue.? Why it's showing different Device Signature, This is 100% Atmega2560V and it supports MegaCore bootloaders as well, I want to solve this as quickly as possible because I have low deadlines. :( :(

Can I change Device Signature in avrdude.exe and avrdude.config from 0x1e9801 to 0x1e9803 .? so that it works in my case.?

or any other way around.?

Have you trie? if not, why not? Were not here to hold your hand when you want to try something, backup the file before making changes, should you mess it up, no harm done.

You edited the wrong avrdude.conf then, I think? The one you need to edit is the one it shows in the verbose output, ie: C:\Users\mudas\OneDrive\Documents\Arduino\hardware\MegaCore-master\avr\avrdude.conf

That said, I'm alarmed that it's reading an unexpected value for the signature, that's usually a bad sign.
