Led cube provide voltage

Hi All, I am thinking about building a led cube eventually. How would I provide the voltage for such a device? 4x4x4 is as far as I'd like to go.

Well for my 5x5x5 led cube I powered it from a thrift store purchased tiny cell phone charger wall module rated at 5.1vdc and 1 amp, cost me $2. Works fine, powers the cube and the standalone 328p chip and two 16 bit shift registers used to interface with the cube.

Did you somehow hook that straight into your Arduino?

Cell phone chargers these days seem to be wall plugs with UBS-A plugs, get a USB-A to USB-B or USB-mini B as needed to connect to your ardiuno.
4x4x4 cube you would only be powering 4x4x20mA at any time for LEDs, 320mA, so you'd be okay.

Thanks. I'll see if we have any.
