will you take the red pill ?

well you must know that situation from the matrix where the guy comes to the other guy and presents him with two pills , where one gives him the joy and bliss of ignorance while the other one gives him knowledge and the relative amount of pain that comes with that , now let's say you go to sleep , and a god comes to you (a relative god for this argument) and he suggests that he pulls you out of this dimension and gives you a tremendous amount of knowledge , you will basically become a god in some sense ... but ... you will completely lose your senses and desires for pleasure , as you will no longer have needs for food , reproduction or anything like that , so there will be no euphoria upcoming from physical pleasures , if you refuse this offer you will wake up and forget everything about this dream , when you wake up some freaky "coincidences" made by this ultra-dimensional being will give you a tremendous amount of money and power so that you would enjoy the physical existence to the fullest , but you will continue living in the human ignorance ... so to sum this up , you either get knowledge , power , ultimate wisdom and control but without the sense of pleasure OR you continue being an ignorant human but you will get a large amount of physical joy , which of these will you pick ? and why ?

funny guy, what is the most interesting topic in news recently about the Weather Like?
and whats the weather like today? the temperature drops by 15 degree, and it's still raining
oh, so I might take the magic pill to swim underwater by means of flippers.

Bliss is always best. If you already have bliss you gain nothing from knowledge.

You don't know how the game is played, do you?

look Mr Dally , not everyone has a mind as sophisticated as yours , consider me unable to understand your cleaver indirect style of speech ....

Qdeathstar:

i don't think i do ... i am straightforward , i tend not to assimilate twisted words and phrases

Qdeathstar:

the problem here is ... an animal can have a high kick of euphoria too even though he's not highly intelligent like humans . bliss will give a decent amount of momentary joy but it isolates the consciousness from existence .
i would certainly like to hear your feedback about this..

you cannot improve your experience beyond bliss. There is nothing better than bliss.

This was settled a few years ago. When the human species evolved intelligence. (And note that no other species was stupid enough to do so)

We were blissfully unaware before we were borne and we will again be blissfully unaware when we are dead.

I am very sorry for the late response Robin .
As far as evolution goes , the evidence that it happened is massive and therefore i am unable to negate it , but the mechanism of evolution is not well identified yet , weather it's successive mutation and natural selection or not one can't decide , but i don't believe in that Archaic concept , i mean just look at the fabric of our minds ,that cannot in anyway be the result of random mutations , mathematically and even on the scale of billions of years , the probability for that is too low to be considered ... i would like to think that there's a lot beyond this philosophically observable dimension or dimensions . and as science cannot look that deep yet (and probably will never do so) i would like to keep my fairy tail believes and hope that there's some sort of hidden beauty behind all this , and i do have the right to do so . i am sorry for going a little off topic but just as we cleared the evolution matter ,we cannot conclude the action of choice in it in anyway but in some religions it is mentioned that Humans actually took a massive responsibility that no other creature accepted , i never looked deep into that , but your point and the way you mentioned it actually got me thinking about that again so thank you .

Now , when it comes to us being blissfully unaware before and after death ... i am afraid that's not for certain and as it cannot be proven . the death of the "person" as in personality and memories is certain , since those will fade after death . but consciousness is not entitled to memories or what the person accumulated over time , it's only entitled to a certain logical pattern or logical wiring , if a human dies and his fabric of consciousness get's somehow re-created his consciousness will be reborn again . he will though have no memory or connection to his previous self therefore he is alluded that he never existed before . now the re-creation of the fabric of consciousness could take billions of billions of years and could even happen at an exterior dimension but when it comes to you or to the self , it's nothing more than a fraction of a second from death . since after death the consciousness is disconnected from time . the probability for the fabric of consciousness to be re-created at a near infinite period time is nearly certain but as my previous claims of physical entitlement cannot be proven the theory itself cannot be proven either . so what i would like to rest to , is the fact that eternal bliss after death is probably not going to happen , since the struggle of the self consciousness will probably continue .

i don't want to go through my other opinions about this since they indeed are insane , but you know what ? if it's probable then i have no problem thinking about it , especially after seeing the astronomical discoveries ... reality can be stranger than fiction .

amine2:
i mean just look at the fabric of our minds ,that cannot in anyway be the result of random mutations ,

That's how it happened.

Personally I believe the impetus for change was to increase the ability to deceive other humans and to detect those deceptions. Deception allowed (allows) the alpha males (and their female equivalents) to gouge their tribal colleagues while convincing those colleagues that it is for their own good.

well , yes ... it's the need for strategic thinking , the books also mention that a higher intelligence leads to a more developed hunting style which will add the likability of the more intelligent being and a higher spreading of the mutated genes ... yet i do not still agree . you must understand that with our current scientific advancements we cannot simulate a cat's brain (the 2009 IBM allegation is not true) . you must understand that we humans today are completely unable to grasp the concept of the physical manifestation of consciousness ... it's simply a too complicated of a system . regardless of the situation and like i already said , the odds are too low to be seriously considered .

just for your information , evolution begins with the first self replicating cell (the simplest physical version of a cell containing DNA that is capable of self replication is more complex than an ARM CPU in design) , the only explanation for the formation of that entity is a momentary placement of particles in space according to science .... the probability for that to happen is 0% or in other terms near 10^-160 that on the scale of how long the universe existed at the time .

the scientific arguments are simply too weak when it comes to the origins of things .

amine2:

The most random set of all will eventually give a set of permutations you may be looking for.

the scientific arguments are simply too weak when it comes to the origins of things .

Still what we have knowledge of, and the prospect of what we may learn in the future is better than giving up all hope and relying on a flying spaghetti monster to answer everything.

Perhaps the most important aspect of evolution is that it is NOT random. The mutations it works with may be random, but they are tested very severely (survival of the fittest) before being being passed down the generations.

The fact that in 4 billion years only one species evolved intelligence on our planet leaves me doubtful of the possibiltity of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. But that is a very different logical argument.

Just because one particular random permutation works out to be best does not in any way mean it isn't a random process.

But I do agree that evolution is not entirely random. The numbers popping out of Darwins PRNG are reduced to a subset targeted at stress testing a particular feature.
