Post Your Venting (Letting Out Your Anger) Here!

Well, I'm not sure if this forum allows venting or not... If it doesn't, Mods feel free to delete this thread. This is a place where you can post your anting and raving and just egt your anger out.

OK, here I go. Well, on the Fourth of July, I was at my cousin's house. After an awsome firework show, I thought it was going to be a perfect day. I was wrong. Appearently somebody (my Aunt) had moved my controller from safely on the counter to the stairway, conmpletely out in the open. As we were getting out stuff ready to leave, I discovered my Xbox 360 controller was customized... By a dog... The right analog thumbstick is smassed in, so I can't use aprt of the range on my analog stick (That means I turn to the right slow on Modern Warefare 2). I told them what happened and thier basic response was "So?". It's over a month later, and I still don't have a new controller... And I never will!

That doesn't sound so bad. Wait till the day you have to call a lawyer.

Beleve me, If I was old enough to go to small claims court, I would!

I shot two over par playing disc golf this morning... because I couldn't see a tractor parked behind a tree on a blind left hand hole and ended up parked behind it.

Seriously, who parks a tractor on a frisbee golf course?!

Oh well... not really worth getting upset over; it's a game that makes me happy, but it's the closest to being upset I've been in a long time.

me (MAHAHAHA!)

By spamming random forums? I think that just possibly you are going about this all wrong.

Appearently somebody (my Aunt) had moved my controller from safely on the counter to the stairway, conmpletely out in the open.

Jeremy1998: Keep this in mind as you grow - you're aunt is a tard. It's one thing to move an item to make room; it's quite another thing to move an item, that should have perceived value, from a position of "safety" to one of "non-safety" (and randomness - I mean, its kinda random it was on the counter to begin with, but a stairway?).

Which brings me to another point - why was it on the counter to begin with? Why not safely with your game system (unless the game system is on the counter)? So remember this too: Everything has a place, and every place has a thing - put your tools away. Right after you use them, put them back, in their proper space, and you won't lose them later. Tough habit to get into, worth it when you do.

Finally - again, your aunt is a tard. You might want to think about how she will act given various circumstances (heck, think about how she has acted in the past - I doubt this was the first time her tardedness caused problems for someone) - then avoid those circumstances. Chances are it may cause you more problems in the end.

/believe me - I married into a family full of 'em...

:stuck_out_tongue:

oh please, you can buy these things all day long for less than 30 bucks, you can get a used brand X model down the street for less than 15 its not like the dog chewed up a 700$ laptop

you left you crap laying around in a place where it should not have been, arguably you left it in the wide open for your aunt to get a hold of who set it on the stairs (presumably as a reminder to take it with you) in the wide open for the dog to get, so in a since you left it in that situation

Hardly worthy of random strangers deeming your aunt as retarded

get off your butt and do some extra chores already, I am sure that little old lady down the street might cough up 20 bucks for some honest yard work

yard work

0.9144 metre work.

0.9144 metre work.

;D

Tell you what - since $30.00 (or even $15.00) is such "pocket change" to you, why don't you paypal me that money? After all, it ain't much, right?

As already noted, this I agree with; though the aunt should've probably placed it on a side table, or up in his room, or held onto it and given it to him directly...

Well - I don't know her, but you have to admit it was a pretty bone-headed move; maybe she didn't know the dog very well, so in some sense it is excusable. Still, it could've been stepped on, tripped over, kicked, etc. I guess I just look at all electronics as being worth something to handle with care, which probably comes from being a kid and having parents who bought me devices for (what I realize now) was a LOT of money - and I had to take care of them, otherwise I wasn't getting another.

Kids doing yard work - in Arizona - in the summer? ;D

I have to question what the Aunt was thinking as well. Regardless of value, why put ANYTHING where it is bound to be damaged?

I'd be pretty pissed to lose 30 bucks, I make $7.25/hr.

Oh yea, that's right, the "transient workers" have that kind of work all wrapped up.

Lefty

"Undocumented Citizens"?

"Tell you what - since $30.00 (or even $15.00) is such "pocket change" to you, why don't you paypal me that money? After all, it ain't much, right?"

No, I have to take care of my own crap, and if it gets screwed up I have to replace it, not start crying about it on the internet a month later

As already noted, this I agree with; though the aunt should've probably placed it on a side table, or up in his room, or held onto it and given it to him directly...

if she left it on the table and the dog chewed it up would it have been any better? and what good would have handed it to him have done? it would have been right back on the counter, table or stairs anyway

since obviously its such a prized possession to not be freakin mindful of it in the first place

Well - I don't know her, but you have to admit it was a pretty bone-headed move;

not really my parents used to place crap on the top/ bottom step for me to take down /up all the time, its a pretty common move

I guess I just look at all electronics as being worth something to handle with care, which probably comes from being a kid and having parents who bought me devices for (what I realize now) was a LOT of money - and I had to take care of them, otherwise I wasn't getting another.

and the op sees them as something to willy-nilly leave and forget wherever whenever, and is now learning that he needs to take care of the stuff he likes

Kids doing yard work - in Arizona - in the summer?

It aint only hot in Arizona, I saw a kid mowing the grass here in Tennessee last week, and it was 106 in the sun, over 80% humidity and very little air moving without a cloud in the sky

suck it up wuss  I work in those conditions daily, it may be hotter but the humidity and little wind here is like being in a sauna

How come the dog is getting off scot free in this discussion? Just saying....

Law of the Jungle! If the dog can reach it, it belongs to the dog!

Maybe the dog was just feed up with all the "dog ate my homework" excuses....

Lefty

hehe

also I would like to point out that new thumbsticks for a 360 controller can be had for less than 5$
