Title: Hacking bluetooth body fat scale
Post by: IvonneBenett on Dec 10, 2016, 12:31 pm
Anybody have "Smart Scale" (iOS/Android app) compatible body fat scales?

I'm interested how these scales could send data directly to Arduino/Raspberry using build in bluetooth without using smart phone at all.

There is at least two manufacturers for these scales:

http://www.vtrump.com/smartscale
and
Ningbo Putian Information Industry CO. LTD.

If you had a wifi Smart Scale. you could use a traffic sniffer like wireshark software and see the packets. With packets try emulating the connection. But it really boils down to if they have a date and time in the key when sending data or something similar.
