Yeah, I chose to ignore that comment about Ohm's law in AC systems. It didn't sit right with me, and it wasn't relevant anyhow.
Yes, I did check it with my multimeter. Everything was as it should have been according to it.
I just did an electronics order but forgot to add the capacitors sigh
