I tried to program an ardweeny(http://www.solarbotics.com/product/kardw/) for the first time and an error appeared:
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
I tried again and had the same problem.
Any help is needed.

Avrdude can't communicate with your ardweeny (of course, you knew that because your research would have told you).
Do you have the right com port selected? The right board type?
Depending on your USB to serial adapter, you might not have auto-reset hooked up to the Ardweeny. In that case, you have to reset it manually with the push button at the right time. Here are some instructions:
