Help Needed: Android Controlled 8 Channel Relay

Hi everyone. I need some advice and I was hoping you could help me. I have 8 DC circuits that I want to control with my android phone (Galaxy S3) from a simple 8 button app. I current have an Uno and I just bought this 8 channel relay board today:

After reading the Projects for the Evil Genius, I think I am going to go the Amarino Bluetooth route, but I am unsure of hardware. Can someone point out a good Bluetooth shield that will be Armino compatible and allow me to control my 8 relay board?

I know I am asking a lot as a noob, but any advice on the project would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of examples with the Amarino DIY 3.0 Shield and BT Module ($40) but I was hoping to find something for a quick project this week.

Does anyone know if I go with a BT shield like this Seed BT Shield will work with Amarino?

I'm not familiar with Amarino but I have a number of those HC-05 devices like your picture below (mine are from iteadstudio) that I use to get arduino's talking to each other. I have not tried to find the device with my phone. I will try it when I get home tonight and see if it works. I wrote an app for my phone that allows me send commands to an arduino over the internet using an ethernet shield. I actually use it to turn things on in my house from anywhere that I can get an internet connection. Would something like that work for you or are you determined to use bluetooth? Either one would be fairly easy as you are just parsing the data that is received over the serial port and pulling out the commands.

For this project, bluetooth makes more sense. I am going to be showing something off at work and the network is pretty restricted.

I'd be very interested to see if you have success with pairing your phone and this shield.

Hello,
I use this bluetooth modul: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/9600bps-Bluetooth-Module-Slave-Wireless-Serial-Port-f-Arduino-Self-Balance-Robot-/320811073537?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Other&hash=item4ab1d48001 with Amarino, Arduino Uno and HTC Desire, I've never had any problems. Hope it helps

MuttDriver, and you were able to succesfully attach the Uno to the module without a shield?

Yes, the 4 pins fit in a breadboard, it needs 5v, ground, tx and rx.

I was able to pair with the HC-05 device through my android phone. It is the same device that MuttDriver listed but in a arduino friendly format....i.e. a shield. This is what I have: http://imall.iteadstudio.com/development-platform/arduino/shields/im120417010.html
