Topic: Confused about setup and loop functions  (Read 369 times) previous topic - next topic

Hello!  I am running a few experiments to try and figure out some power numbers, and I came across an interesting find that has me stumped.

Timers usually take some juice, so I wanted to see the difference between calling CurieTimerOne.kill() and the default behavior to determine if the timer was initially on.  What I found was that when I call CurieTimerOne.kill() in setup(), I am using more power than if I call it in loop().  This makes absolutely no sense to me... can anyone shed some light?  I feel like I might be overlooking something, but I just don't know what.
