It's a black fly in your Chardonnay

I got a notification from the LinkedIn Android developers group:

"xxx yyy (name changed to protect their embarrassment) is conducting its bi-annual developer survey to gauge the changing attitudes and behaviors of developers. This survey will focus on mobile apps and will take between 10 – 20 minutes. blah-blah-blah

A note to developers: Some elements of the survey are not working on mobile devices (phones/tablets) so we suggest you complete the survey from a computer."

An epic fail for android

It's pretty funny.

Just to point out a little social engineering: Wouldn't this be a great way to hack into a bunch of developer PC's?

"Please don't use your phone, we want your PC."

Rob

It's not totally unlike the support pages for ISPs.

Go to this link to check if your Internet connection has known problems.

Er yes, but the Internet needs to be working to go to the link.

No, its an epic fail for the designer of the survey platform if he knows that many of his users are expecting to be able to use their devices. Kind of like web pages that don't work with IE or Firefox or Chrome or...

Epic fail. Just like
