Help! I can't even begin my project.

I need an Arduino supplier here in Saudi Arabia. If I get an arduino delivered to me then it could take days, in which I have 6 hours. I went to my closest Radio Shack and the guy on the counter could not recognize the word Arduino. I'm trying to create my own board (my dad says there are many electronics shops here that I don't know about where I can get the components) using the things I know, but I seriously don't know how to make a PCB. Sure, there are millions of tutorials out there, but I always don't have the materials.

Any ideas????? Anyone living in Saudi that has an unused board to give?

in 6 hours, that'll probably be pretty hard. I don't really know what kind of stores you have over in Saudi Arabia, but if there are any hobby stores they often carry arduinos (or lookalikes). If you've got time, just order one and start looking around for places to get components. Depending on what your prospective project is, the forums might be able to help you get stuff ready even if you don't have an arduino yet.

Dubai has an electronics souk where you can buy ATMega8 chips and everything else you need to make a standalone board. I am sure Saudi has the same shops, in Dubai they are all around the satellite Market and my guess is that they would be in a similar area in Saudi.

for your first board it is much easier to buy a Ready built UNO, it will make programming any boards you later build so much easier.

Your nearest distributor is in Jordan, you can find the details if you search around the main Arduino site.

Then you'd need an ISP as well if you expect to program the thing, sorry to say.
