CrossRoads

I just push the Green handset icon to bring up the number keypad on my Galaxy SIII.
If you didn't sign up for an account when you bought the phone, or had the account moved over from your flip phone (or whatever you had), then that's on you.

Having internet access to look stuff up on the road, or texting with friends/family when plans for get togethers are falling apart, etc. makes a phone really handy. Getting a document from a coworker while on the road it comes in really handy. Not so much if retired I suppose. Killing time while waiting, browsing the forum, listening to music, are also nice features.

Original reason for the WIN 10 device i think was my thumbs/eyesight  were too big for the buttons on a small phone.
New device came with a free data dongle so i can use Ipad on the move easily , no arguments there.
Win 10 device did that well but was an awful phone.
No change in provider but the registration procedure is a nightmare, when i recieved the win 10 phone all i had to do was turn it on for 24 hours, turn off the old one , and they sorted it out

EDIT
I drove 20 + miles to a Onecom (Voodaphone) outlet, they could not sort it out either, salesperson did not seem to be that knowlegable though, unless i was buying a new phone of course.

Over 4 days and no one can answer my question.

Now Max Smart 86, he had a groovy shoe phone , with a rotary dialer too.
Although the audio quality might have been a bit tin-ear.

Finally got it sorted.
Dongle is handy for email ETC.
Phone not so good, it works but nobody wants to talk to me.  :smiley-confuse:

Quite happy to use email however.
Especially if a financial transaction is involved.
Seems to come from nigerian servers though.

Lots of calls from friendly indian gentlemen though.
Apparantley my english bank has been ripping me off for years and the indian department of justice would like to give their assistance in bringing the criminals to justice for no charge.
Just have to give my bank details and they will transfer the fines to my account.

To add insult to injury i have recently tried to change banks for various reasons.
They will not process my application without a verifiable land line No.

I am in the UK , anyone know why ?

I'd say the banks haven't dragged themselves into the 21st Century.
