Topic: instructions for multifunction board (Read 31283 times) previous topic - next topic

Hi matelot,
Have managed to decipher any more info about this board. Do you have any extra info or sample code you could let me have to help with getting it going. I bought some of these too expecting data to come with them but nothing did. The supplier hasn't helped either.

Saying that, I haven't had a chance to try any of the sketches, so cannot vouch for how good it is.  Seems to be a good match for the one I got off ebay, though.

Purchased one of these boards via eBay and have been very pleased with if from a hardware perspective.  From a sketch or functionality view however the information available is 'sketchy' at best.  Finally decided to write my own examples using what could be gleaned from the internet (mostly in Chinese - thankful for Google Translate  :) ).

Was able to write a number of examples and start a user document which I have included with the zip file attachment.

Only things I could not figure out were the BlueTooth, LM35 headers (need more hardware) and what the jumpers do.

If there is enough interest I may look at writing a Funduino Library.

 I'm just confused, with how well the LM35 connection where the + OUT- must.

I just looked at the eBay link you posted at top. I also scrolled down and found a selection of other prototype boards.
I have just downloaded your PDF and have not read it yet.

What I would do..what I plan to do is to map out the connections with a multimeter. Simple enough (at least to me, and I am an idiot when it comes to electronics..)

But I guess many users tried to use this board and refre this topic.
I would like to put some suggestion.

First of all, this board cannot support DS18B20. Maybe U5 in the schematic is designed for it, but target connection is A4. DS18B20 returns digital data. Therefore this function does not work.

The Second thing is that there is no Bluetooth board for this shield. I checked many bluetooth module pin layout, such as HC-05, HC06 and so on, but I could not find same pin layout board.
(If some knows, please, please add comment.)

The third thing is  4 digits 7 segment LED has very limited function.
If you tried to sample sketch, but figures are not so clear or wrong.
Usually, when we use 7 segment LED, we use dynamic lightning. The reason is circuit is simple.
If you want to use static lightning, we add some latch logic.

But dynamic lightning method is not suitable for this type of multi function board. Because assuming  to use DS18B20, we must wait 750msec.
If you want to show the temperature figure using this 4digit LED, the program is very complicated. (not possible)

Finally, my evaluation is bad.
No document, no vender, wrong connection, hard to use.

In the Arduino and other small computing world, there are too many unclear boards.
Now, I am preparing 'clear use' web site.

thanks for the schematic. I am quite surprised that those who say the board is so good have not added the evidence of their experience? I notice that quite often, but who am i to complain. Now
I'll work on writing some sketches and see how good it really is? When I get time to work on them I'll do some sharing.

re Multifunction shield
Can you tell people when they buy, if there uno has large usb, put a piece of tape on usb top, if this board  has large blob of solder it touches the metal case of usb ?
