Hi guys

This my first post so I hope I'll make it right. If not, feel free to tell me.

At work, I've got a Futronic FS88 and they want me to connect it with an UNO R3, because they are trying to get fingerprints and compare with a ID card fingerprint to verify an identity.

You can find some information of the device here:

I know that I can use an USB Host Shield, but I must download any library specific for that device? Or I should consider it like a generic HDI (Human Device Interface) and try with some default ones?

I'll be very grateful for your opinions and any other idea to make this project.

Sorry for my english.

And why the hell should that device be connected to an UNO? Go and get a Raspberry Pi and you're ready to do fingerprint scans. I doubt that you will get that device to run on an UNO in a feasible time frame and even if you get it running you'll never do anything useful with it because of a lack of necessary RAM on the UNO.
