I want to be able to transmit live data from a sensor attached to the arduino to my iphone. Would i need a ble chip for that? I want the data to go to a custom ios app, not one on the app store already

I don't think MIT app Inventor is ready for IOS - yet.I imagine there is another way to get a custom app on IOS.
