Making a touch sensor without a Microcontroller with Conductive Fabric

Hello I do not know much about electronics and I was wondering if there is anyway to make a touch sensor using conductive fabric like this one but without a microcontroller.

What I attempt to do is a simple circuit with a battery, an LED and conductive fabric.
If someone touches the fabric the LED is turned on.

There are many tutorials that do this using an Arduino and the Capacitive Sensing Library, but I think there can be an easier way as there is no need to know the exact amount of change in the capacity.

Well thanks for your time!!

Sounds like all you need is a simple switch.
If one piece of fabric is pressed against another, the fabric-as-switch closes and the LED turns on.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I've found how to make pressure sensors like this one , but they will response with pressure applied from any source. I am looking for something that will work if it is touched by human skin. Something like this. .
