How to unplug arduino

Hi,
I have an Arduino uno running two dc motors, and I was just wondering how is the safest way to unplug it if the motors are running ? Should I just pull the usb plug out, should I press the reset button to let the motors slow down a quickly pull the plug?

How your motor is connected, shields or something? How it's powered up?

Have you thought of putting an on/off switch in the power supply to the motors?

My motor is connected via motor driver ic. And no I have not thought about the switch. I just want to know if pressing reset and pulling the plug is safe?

You probably will get away with doing that. But the operative is "probably".
Play it safe, use the switch.
Get in the habit of doing things the safest way.

ok, thanks!
