I found the discussion very useful, thank you.
I have another question though...Does anyone have example code which will allow the Arduino to transmit data to the VB app as well? Basically using a VB application as SCADA in order to send commands to the Arduino, as well as read commands from the Arduino?
I would appreciate any information / web links / help.
