Sorry if this in the wrong forum.

Is there such a thing as a pin mapping template that lines up with the Mega?

I am thinking something similar to this but with blanks/form fillable for what each of the input-output pins will be used for?

That's great, thank you, I can print that one out.

Being greedy, is there one that can be completed on a computer before it is printed would you know?

Albert's artwork has the same label on the V-in pin as on the center pin of the DC socket, which is not correct,
They are electrically different.

This is true. There is a diode (D1 on the schematic) between the External Power connector + terminal and the Vin connection.  This is to protect against accidental connection of a reverse polarity external power supply.  Direct connection to Vin does not have that protection.
