555 chip and timing pulse

Hi guys, I am building an LED binary clock, I was going to use the arduino pins 1-13 to control the clock but the program is too difficult for me to figure out. I am going to try a strictly mechanic approach. My first step is using the 555 to generate at 60HZ I have gathered I need a combination of resistors and capacitors to generate a charge and discharge. Does anyone have any idea of what combination I should use. I have 2 options 5v or 3.3V to come in as power

I replaced that link some time back with a real one :stuck_out_tongue: Just enter "60" into the bottom box and it will give you the results.

R/C time constant on a 555 is not gonna be real accurate, or consistant over time (the equation variables change with temp, etc.). Think about a crystal controlled Real Time Clock circuit??
