SgtOneill:
R= (1,2*1,2)/(1,2+1,2) R=1.02ohm

Wrong calculation. R = (1.2 * 1.2) / (1.2 + 1.2) = 1.44 / 2.4 = 0.6ohm !!!

And you get I = 1.24/0.6 = 2.07 amp which I think it's even better.
