Title: Networking with mobile devices
Post by: abrown on Nov 19, 2012, 02:36 pm
Hey everyone, was'nt really sure where to post this so apologies if it doesn't belong here.

I was looking at using a WiFi shield in a Quadcopter project so I can interface with an iOS device. Can I use this: http://store.arduino.cc/ww/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11_5&products_id=237 with a board, and connect to it? there are plenty of sources saying you can connect to networks using this shield but nothing saying you can interface with it from an external device.

Thanks

If that external device can also connect to the same network, of course the external device and the Arduino can communicate (at least indirectly).

Don't expect the WiFi shield to create a network that you can connect to.
