Updates/Comments on Long Term DUE support

Is DUE dead out of the gate?

Both of your newest releases (Yun and Tre), as well as Intels (Galileo), will revert back to AVR for 'traditional arduino functionality'.

Where does this leave SAM support? Is DUE now the red headed step child of the Arduino family?

Will you folks be revisiting the platform anytime soon? Any new revisions planned (ala TAIJIUINO's path to expose the SAM3X built in Ethernet capabilities?) Any DUEreduex?

So, my suggestion is: Give us an update on the SAM architecture's place in the Arduino universe. Right now us early DUE adopters see nothing but a whole lot of fragmentation going on and it's all moving away from us.

and now the new board as well,
another arm !

all very confusing,,,,

I offer the following from Graham Hess (Signs):

"For them, the situation isn't fifty-fifty. Could be bad, could be good. But deep down, they feel that whatever happens, they're on their own. And that fills them with fear."

"There is no-one watching out for us. We are all on our own."
