technically this uses the same technology that HUD displays, but I have to admit it is very cool

I've got to admit it is a great idea...
rather than have a mobile with a tiny screen, a laptop, tablet, etc. you could have a wearable display that's larger than anything you could get... all it needs is an eye tracking module to act as an input device 8)
...and voila you can browse the web with a smartphone right in your pocket

At this point, it is our strategy to sell our core components to just a few
industry leading Consumer Electronics manufacturers who will provide the

Which means that they are still trying to find one.
OEMs dressed in khaki .. expensive gadget I think.
I love to get a set of these; 1280 x 720 with a 40 degree field-of-view, per eye - in what looks to be a lightweight "glasses-style" frame. That's way better than most other models (like Vusix) - though I know of a couple of other companies that make better displays (though well beyond even a pro-sumer price range).
All in all, these are devices looking for a market; when the Vusix and similar came out, I was hoping I would soon see them at Fry's Electronics, but I have yet to. These displays will probably be the same way. Ultimately, they are a niche product, and probably suffer from the same issues that any display that forces your eye to a fixed focal plane do, which is mainly eye strain and fatigue.
Which is really unfortunate - the possibilities for gaming alone are amazing (when, oh when will I get my home VR deck to play Dactyl Nightmare again)...

Isn't it technically just an HUD display ? you know like those used on fighter jets ??
